Below are a list of my thoughts on this Tuesday. I figured that getting back into the blog after a 5 month hiatus will be good for my mental health, and to prevent me from screaming at Jen about my fantasy football team as soon as she gets home from work…

Does anyone watch 1st and 10 on Cold Pizza and feel that either Woody Paige or Skip Bayless should be replaced just based on visual reasons? They are both mid-60s, fake prune-like tans, with badly colored hair. Most point-counterpoint shows feature 2 pundits who are somewhat dissimilar in appearence. Throw Michael Smith or Jackie MacMullen in there. And I would vote for Bayless to get the axe, after he threw ex-NBA star Eddie Johnson under the bus when he got arrested, to later find out it was a different Eddie Johnson. Do your homework Skip…

If you’re a Sports Night fan and haven’t watched Aaron Sorkin’s new show Studio 60, you need to start. Its on Mondays at 10, just as the Monday Night game is becoming a blow-out. Matthew Perry and Bradley Whitford’s characters have a lot of Dan and Casey in their relationship and the quick wit and chemistry of the crew and talent is CSN-esque. Best new show of the season, and I wouldn’t have known about it if NBC didn’t get the NFL this year. It is so important to the success of a network…

I am so sick of the analyzation of Tiger Woods’ Ryder Cup performances. It seems so obvious to me why he struggles in these events and every 2 years the respective US captains fail to figure it out. Tiger Woods is a purely individual athlete. He doesn’t like being chummy with his playing partner, he doesn’t want to go out and drink with other golfers, and he sure as hell doesn’t trust a teammate to alternate shots with him. If Ryder Cup captains really want Tiger to play his best against the Euros then they need to allow him to be himself, instead of forcing him into a player that he isn’t. What he is: the most focused player in golf (or sports) history. Along with his physical prowess he is so successful because of his ultimate focus and killer “go-for-the-throat” attitude. Instead of forcing Tiger to sing his school fight song and do other chamraderie activities, just let him do what he does to prepare for individual tournaments. Until they either realize this or leave him off the team alltogether, the Europeans with continue to dominate team competition…

Not usually a fan of halftime shows or pregame concerts or any other concert-within-sports but last nights U2-Green Day performance was incredible. Not overdone but gave me goosebumps. I agree with Boomer, the Saints would’ve beaten the ‘78 Steelers last night in that dome…

I am officially announcing my retirement from sports betting, after 2 heartbreaking losses this weekend. After a dissapointing week 2 of NFL bets i put the rest of my account on Notre Dame and Chicago, both 3 point favorites against inferior teams. Well, of course they both underachieve all game just to win by a field goal. It took me until 8:00 last night to explain to Jen how I still lost all my money even though both of the teams I bet on won by the amount they were supposed to…

I think we may need to start realizing that Ben Watson is not the second coming of Ben Coates, he is just Daniel Graham with worse hands but hideously fast open-field speed who could go down as the best kickoff speacial-teamer in league history (if properly utilized)…

Thats it for today, this is cutting into cocktail hours by the pool.
Laaaaaaaate.
