It wasn’t the prettiest game of all time but a wise man once said that “A win is a win is a win.”
Wiser men than I have weighed in on yesterday’s contest in Foxboro so let’s get right to the links. I’m well rested after the bye week so I’ll try to make it meaty…

Kicking it off as usual with Jerry Thornton’s Kneejerk Reactions over at Barstool Sports…
…And then right over to Mike Reiss’ Pats blog on ESPNBoston. These guys are like the Ellsbury and Pedroia of the Monday links column, just great table-setters.
In the 3 hole lets go with someone who is always consistent, like the Boston Globe’s Dan Shaughnessy, who consistently sucks. This week, Shank decided to write a column about Randy Moss’ performance which pretty much won the game for the Pats. Of course, it wouldn’t be his style to simply compliment the star wide receiver. First, he would have to call him “rude, ridiculous, self-important, and difficult.” Later, he would compare him to Barry Bonds, whine that he wasn’t open enough with the media, and take another jab at the fact that the receiver goes through the motions. Just going through the motions? Are we talking about Moss’ blocking or Shaughnessy’s columns since 2003?
Hitting clean-up, why don’t we check in with another member of the old guard, Ron Borges, who has found a home at the Boston Herald and provides us with his opinion of yesterday’s game. I always love reading the columns of a guy who ripped on Belichick for drafting Richard Seymour instead of David Terrell and Matt Light instead of Robert Ferguson, if only to see what idiotic babble he comes up with next.
Sticking with the Herald, Ian Rapoport discusses Vince Wilfork’s move to defensive end paid off with a victory.
The Miami Herald’s Armando Salguero discusses how his team blew the game, and also writes that the Gillette Stadium media department has “zero-class” for posting Joey Porter’s stats (0 tackles, 0 sacks) in the closing seconds of the game. I love how “Joey Porter” and “zero-class” are in the same sentence yet the insult is directed at the Patriots’ jumbotron operator…priceless.
The Huddle from USA Today decided to pile on with Joey Porter criticism. Keep it coming I say.
And of course, the closer: Tommy Touchdown on WEEI’s Dennis and Limbaugh show discussing how Porter just motivates them.
